Fun in the Sun

Mornin!

Today's card is part of a magazine piece for Creative Stamping issue 10

The theme was film/fibres using the free stamps that come with the magazine.

I 'borrowed' some of Quaver birdy's sandpaper for these cards, poor little guy had to put up with newspaper in the bottom of his cage instead.

Come back soon or another in the set.

Have a good one.

Very little ink for a friend...

Good Morning!

After a couple of wet windy days the sun seems to be back here, hope it's nice for you too.

Today's card is a real quickie, Its for a friends birthday and I had hoped to do something really nice but time didn't permit sadly.

The paper is Tim Holtz resist pad and a couple of random oddments. The Penny Farthing is a Memory Box.

I punched some little flowers from book pages, scrumpled them up and used a Screw Top brad to secure them.

The only bit of ink is around the edges of the paper!

Thanks for stopping by.

Arty Heart Fob Watch

Yes I know it's been over a week, im hanging my head in shame...

But I'm here now, so here is a card!

This is one that I demo'd on Create and Craft a while ago with my lovely Claritystamps.

I stamped the medium fob,but not the winder. Covered it with a mask and stamped the Arty Heart, covered the heart and stamped the winder. Stamped the sentiment and covered, stamped all over with mixed text, then added all the shading, and you can probably work out the rest.

I think this will look nice in feminine colours too.

Hope you like it!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment, I love to hear from you.

Mega quick...

Morning, only just!

As the title suggests, it's a mega quick post because I haven't had time for days, so here goes..

This is using the new Clarity Foxgloves, a couple of the Hares from next months classroom set, and my Happy word set-which I love!

I used Evergreen Bough Distress ink.

Right back to my mountain of jobs, including finishing prep for Sunday, hope you can watch and maybe treat yourself! I'm on Create and Craft at 9am.

Pastel Splodged

Good Morning!

I'm trying to decide what to do today, Amber wants Southport, Steve wants Bowling...

I may delay decision for another hour in the hope my dodgy body will be a little more enthusiastic for the day!

So while I sit propped up in bed with my coffee (lovingly made by Steve, without grumbling) I thought I would blog.

This is an 8x8 card using a couple of Splodge masks and some of my fave Distress pads, Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar and Mulled Lavender.

I'm sure you will also recognise one of my fave Claritystamp text stamps...

Hope you like it!

I wonder if I'm pushing my luck asking for another coffee....

Have a great day whatever your doing.

Last chance to be in with a chance of winning a little 'commenters' candy today by the way, so go on let me know you were here.

New Life

Its not good morning, afternoon or evening- its middle of the night!!

So I might as well blog while I'm laying here...

This is another of my Clarity samples from last weekend.

I had a couple of Basic Gelli backgrounds to use up, and this seemed to fit what I wanted to achieve, a modern 'new baby' card.

The tangle I used is called Cadent.

My letterbox kit came in handy to work with the new 'happy' word set.

Hope you like it!

Your comments are appreciated.. I will be picking a random commenter for a giveaway on Sunday.

Last minute Less is More...

Blimey I've left this late again!

This weeks challenge over at Less is More is using a colour wheel...

I went with Violet and Yellow Green

I mixed my inks on my Splodge Away and stamped my Clarity Leafy Swirl twice, then the little Hummingbird and sentiment in Black Archival.

Oh and speaking of challenges, don't forget about this months Clarity challenge over on the blog, the theme is to make your sentiment the focal of your card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Put your Brolly up Lily...

Good Morning

I thought Summer had arrived but it seems to have vanished again...

So this card works well for today, only problem is that it's too windy for a brolly.

I used the new Clarity Character set again, with the Happy words, and also one of the Clever corners for the frame.

The Blue ink is Stonewashed and my White pen made an appearance again too.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment, commenters candy is getting verrrry close!

Gellied Silhouettes...

Yep late again!

I've been sat waiting for gas engineer, so much for appointments...

Then I have to dust and polish and other yakky things, but I thought I would blog quickly.

This is another of my Clarity samples from the weekend..

The background was created on my Gelli Plate, incase you hadn't guessed.

And I used the character silhouette stamps, I added a white edge to make them pop, then finished with one of the sentiments from the Happy word set Gold embossed.

Hope you like it.

Thanks or stopping by and leaving me a comment!

Flamingo and Ducky!

Afternoon!

Hope you are enjoying the Bank Holiday weekend, and Clarity weekend of course..

Here is one of my samples from today

I used one of the Flamingos and Tom's special Ducky....Tom always loads one duck onto the racks for us to take to the retail shows, he said someone always buys it, and why not-he's a cool little Duck, You know you want him.

I used Aged Hahogany Distress pad.

Right, back to my laundry mountain,or I will still be changing bedding at midnight!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment, I can feel a 'commenters' random candy coming!

Meadow Dance frame

Afternoon!

I just realised its about 4 days since I blogged, again!

So I thought I would own tools for 5 minutes and blog one of my demos that I did on telly on Tuesday with Deano...

This is an example of how it's good to revisit a stamp sometimes, because It had never occurred to me that the main stamp could be used to make a frame, doh...

Dean was funny, when I was nearly at the end of the demo I thought we were really short on time, so I was going to leave the bright purple sun, but Dean was trying to discreetly draw my attention to it because he thought I'd forgotten it, bless him!

Hope you like the card.

Don't forget about Barbara's shows on Saturday and Sunday, also, there is a new challenge over on the Claritystamp Challenge blog, please support the design team.

Have a good one!
